Things to do in Las Vegas | February 23, 24, 25 | Robert Davi’s hot, new show

January 12, 2012 — Now that the season to celebrate a new year has become a thing of the past, those who reside and work in Los Angeles are now eyeing their neighboring sister city in the desert as a key destination point to welcome the traditional month of love and romance.

Whether it’s a chance to snatch a quick wedding, renew a relationship, start anew or observe a Leap Day birthday, Las Vegas, NV, is getting ready for an upsurge of visitor traffic for the entire 29 days of February — a calendar entry that only happens once every four years.

In 2011, more than 2.9 million travelers from Southern California and other locales across the nation and around the globe converged on the resort town during the shorter month of February.

In the wake of pre-ticket sales and hotel reservations in 2012, city officials say they can safely predict a 4% increase in the number of out-of-state February travelers expected to spend some quality time in the crowded and bustling vacation site that’s famous for its gambling, shopping and top entertainment.
